A developer at Sony is blaming “unfavorable” graphics for a game that has “unfortunately” crashed during a livestream.
The developer, who asked to remain anonymous, shared a screenshot of a bug that occurred while “The Sims 2” was running on a PS4 Pro.
“The bug occurred during the livestream, when it was happening while the game was running, and we were using a PSVR headset,” the developer wrote on Twitter.
“This is unacceptable for the studio and we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
Affected PS4 users can use the developer’s PSVR app to check for a fix, which appears to have been patched.
In the screenshot, the game looks much better, but the game still appears to crash.
The video was recorded from the developer and can be seen above.
Sony has not responded to Ars’ request for comment.
The PlayStation VR headset has a high-resolution screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536, which can be viewed in the game’s menus.
The game also supports up to two players, and a third person mode can be enabled.
